Tre Threat commits to Auburn over Ole Miss

The addition of Will Muschamp to the Auburn staff already seems to be paying dividends.

Days after the defensive showed vast improvement in the spring game, Auburn lands a commit from highly-coveted 3-Star Outside Linebacker Tre Threat out of Spanish Fort, AL (Spanish Fort HS)

Fort committed to the Tigers over several offers from the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Clemson just to name a few.

“The coaches, the athletes, the students — everything stood out,” Threat said, via al.com. “I just had a lot of comfort there.”

Tre Threat possesses prototypical height and weight that Muschamp is looking for to fill the OLB position, and his film shows that he has the ability to make all different types of plays on the field.

For Auburn to win an in-state recruiting battle this early in the cycle is huge, and could be the start of something special down near Toomer’s Corner.
