That hot start I was telling you about last night for the Spartans…. it just got hotter, way hotter. The fireworks for Michigan State’s 2016 Spring Game have begun before the game even started.
While on unofficial visits for the Spring Game, 3-Star Linebacker Joe Bachie and 4-Star Justin Layne both committed to the Spartans within minutes of one another.
Bachie is an Inside Linebacker out of Cleveland, OH (Midpark HS) and is a recent de-commit from ace recruiter and coach P.J. Fleck and Western Michigan.
Bachie committed to #GoSparty over offers from Illinois, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, and Bo Pelini and Youngstown State.
Bachie had been waiting for this offer for quite some time, and when the offer came he almost instantly committed to Coach Dantonio and the Spartans, breaking the news on his Twitter:

Layne is an elite Wide Receiver out of Cleveland as well (Benedictine HS) and committed to #GoSparty over other offers from Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Florida among several others.
Layne has prototypical size at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds. Coach Dantonio has to be extremely excited about winning yet another recruiting battle over Ohio State. Layne also broke the news on Twitter:
With God's guidance, I am officially committing to Michigan State University!
I truly believe MSU is the right place for me . #GoGreen ✳️⬜️

While at this point nothing in East Lansing would surprise me, all of the Spartans commits so far for the 2016 class have come from out of state, and the success they are having in traditional pipelines shows how much the culture has changed at Michigan State in the past several years.
