Yogi Ferrell puts his NBA decision on hold

The Indiana Hoosiers are projected to be a top-25 team and one of the strongest teams in the Big Ten conference, but that is only likely if their star point guard returns for his senior season.

Head coach Tom Crean won’t be receiving any announcement Saturday night from the leader of his team, Yogi Ferrell, in the wake of the death of Hannah Wilson, a fellow Indiana student.

This shows that Ferrell is not only a dominate basketball player on the court but he is a tremendous and classy person that is close to the Indiana University community. Props to him.

On the court, Ferrell averaged 16.3 points per game (the leading scorer), 4.9 assists, shot 44 percent from the field and 42 percent from downtown. During his sophomore year, Ferrell averaged 17.3 points per game, but that was a season where he didn’t have fellow sharp shooter, James Blackmon Jr, playing alongside him.

The 6’0″ Indianapolis, Indiana native has until 11:59 pm on Sunday, April 26 to declare for the NBA Draft. Expect a decision to come at some time Sunday afternoon.
