Auburn DE Elijah Daniel arrested on theft, burglary charges

Another day, another arrest in the SEC. Reports surfaced late Wednesday night that Auburn Tigers defensive end Elijah Daniel has been arrested on theft and burglary charges.

Daniel was booked on eight total charges — four property theft and four burglary — and his bond totaled $24,000.

All of the charges are felonies.

Also arrested on the same charges are Auburn Spring walk-on DeNorris James and track athlete Khalil Sellers.

Daniel was expected to compete for a starting job during his junior campaign, but now we will just have to wait and see what his future with the team holds.

Following news of the theft and burglary charges breaking, head coach Gus Malzahn said he was aware of the situation and that Daniel has been suspended from the team indefinitely.
