It is widely beleived that Oregon Ducks quarterback marcus Mariota will be one of the top two selections in the 2015 NFL Draft on Thursday night in Chicago.
In anticipation of Mariota’s big moment, the folks at Nike have custom made a pair of sneakers for the quarterback to wear while he waits to learn where he will play his professional ball that pay homage to his heritage.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell shared photos of the shoes on social media which feature an intricate laser etched design.
Nike also made a box made out of Hawaiin wood that features the “808” area code of Mariota’s hometown.
