St. Joseph’s Obi Romeo Will Transfer From Program

Former three-star recruit Obi Romeo will transfer from St. Joseph’s University, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.

The 6-foot-10, 231 pound Nigerian big man out of Lewisbury, West Virginia will sit out a year after putting up underwhelming numbers as a freshman. In just four games, Romeo averaged one point and two rebounds over 6.5 minutes per contest.

The Hawks did not fare very well either in the 2014-15 season, going 13-18 (7-11 Atlantic 10) a year after making the NCAA tournament.

Romeo has not yet come forward regarding which schools to which he will consider transferring, but Campus Sports will update this story as new developments become public.
