Titans select Marcus Mariota with No. 2 overall pick

The Philadelphia Eagles, their fans and Chip Kelly won’t get their dream quarterback after all.

The Tennessee Titans have selected Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota with the number two overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Eagles were offering Fletcher Cox, Sam Bradford, Mychal Kendricks, Brandon Boykin, two first round picks, a third round pick and more for the number two overall pick.

Expect the Titans to now have a quarterback competition in camp as they have former sixth round pick Zach Mettenberger already on the roster.

The Titans were 2-14 last season and need someone (ANYONE) to help them sell tickets and create some buzz around the franchise.

Mariota defeated Winston in the College Football National Semifinal and lost in the National Title Game to Ohio State.
