2015 three-star recruit Nazeer Bostick, a 6’5″ winger out of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, has verbally committed to play for the Penn State Nittany Lions when his college career begins. Bostick made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

Bostick’s commitment is a growing trend for Penn State, as head coach Pat Chambers has developed a habit of targeting players from the Philadelphia area.
Last season, the Nittany Lions had six players on the roster who were either from the city or one of the surrounding areas. Bostick continues that trend as Chambers looks to bring Penn State basketball back into the limelight.
Penn State went 18-16 last season, its best win-loss record under Chambers, but was just 4-14 in Big Ten play. The school has not made the NCAA tournament since 2011, when current Navy head coach Ed DeChellis was in charge, so hopefully Bostick’s commitment is another step in the right direction.
