UNC’s Theo Pinson Has Foot Surgery

The North Carolina Tar Heels have high expectations for next season and will need to be at full force to make sure their in-state rival Duke Blue Devils do not cut down the nets for the second straight year.

To have a chance, health is always an important factor in who ultimately is the last team standing.

On Monday, forward Theo Pinson underwent successful foot surgery which was performed by Dr. Robert Anderson.

The sophomore suffered a break of the fifth metatarsal against Wake Forest earlier this season and missed 14 of the final 19 games.

Pinson is expected to be ready for the start of the season which will be a boost for the Tar Heels.

He averaged 2.8 points per game and three rebounds per game.

North Carolina finished the 2014 campaign with a record of 26-12 and fell to the Wisconsin Badgers in the Sweet 16.
