The Bruins athletics family didn’t have to do without the Odighizuwa name for very long.
Just a couple days after five-star defensive end Owomagbe Odighizuwa was drafted by the New York Giants in the 2015 NFL Draft, his younger brother Osa committed to UCLA. The school made the announcment on Tuesday night.
Bruins Reporter Online reported Osa’s summed up his reasoning for attending his brother’s alma mater:
“I have committed to UCLA. I like the staff, the campus, and the program, and I’m familiar with all three.”
Osa was the 2014 Mt. Hood Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year and an all-state defensive lineman, the Daily Bruin details. The 6-foot-3 junior is scheduled to graduate from David Douglas High School in Portland, Oregon in 2016.
