Don’t let the cliffhanger headlines scare you. Urban Meyer is going to be just fine.
In addition to the multitude of press on Meyer nowadays, reports began clammering for internet space on Wednesday morning saying that the Ohio State football coach had undergone an “unexpected surgery” but was “expected to be alright.”
No, he didn’t have to be rushed to the hospital after having one-too-many at a Cinco de Mayo party or injure himself while practicing for throwing out the first pitch at Friday’s Yankees game.
The Findlay Courier is reporting that the coach has undergone an emergency appendectomy.
The news came after the event Evening with Urban Meyer at the The University of Findlay Koeler’s Center was canceled, the Courier reports.
A spokesperson for the Buckeyes says that Meyer might be held in the hospital overnight as a precaution. His big to-do at the Yankess game on Friday is still scheduled, as far as has been reported.
