The neverending saga between Texas Tech and Mike Leach reached a “new milestone” this week as Leach lost yet another appeal in the case regarding his firing from the institution, CollegeFootballTalk reported Saturday.
Texas Surpreme Court reportedly denied the latest of appeals in the case of Leach’s claimed “wrongful termination” in 2009. Leach’s lawsuit accusing ESPN, Craig James and Spaeth Communications in 2010 of libel and slander has yet to break ground in his favor.
And apparently the handful of jobs he has held since then haven’t discouraged him from turning away from the lawsuit, as LubbockOnline.com reports that Leach will meet with his attorney to explore other options.
James, a former announcer and father of a player who played under Leach at Texas Tech, reportedly went to univsersity officials with claims that Leach was abusive towards his son James. Leach has lashed back to say the claims are false and that James and ESPN have protrayed him in an ugly and inaccurate light.
