Michigan officially announces Wayne Lyons transfer

-

After self-reporting a handful of minor NCAA rules violations relating to Stanford Cardinal graduate transfer Wayne Lyons, the Michigan Wolverines have officially announced Lyons’ transfer.

Lyons will be eligible to play immediately for the Wolverines.

“We are excited about the addition of Wayne Lyons as a post-graduate student and defensive back on our football team,” said secondary coach Michael Zordich in a statement. “He brings great experience and ability to our secondary and special teams units. In addition, Wayne is a super individual who will achieve great things both on the field and in his future career.”

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh previously recruited Lyons to Stanford, before leaving for the San Francisco 49ers.

Now, Lyons will finally get the opportunity to play under Harbaugh.
