Video: Jack Eichel scores first Worlds goal

-

Jack Eichel, the reigning NCAA Player of the Year and one of the top NHL prospects in the nation, scored his first World Hockey Championship goal over the weekend.

Eichel’s goal came during the USA’s 3-1 win over Slovenia, which helped the Americans reach the quarterfinals for the fifth straight year.

The goal came when Eichel deflected a Brock Nelson shot into the back of the net.

NHL fans are likely taking notice of Eichel, who they help will find his way onto their team when he begins his professional career. If he can continue to light it up on the ice like he has done, the fans will be in for a treat.
