Jim Harbaugh knows a thing or two about pumping up a quarterback, and that’s no jive turkey gobble. (Thanks, I’ll be here all week. Try the veal.) So it didn’t come as too big of a surprise on Wednesday when it was revealed that the new Michigan head coach is planning a big QB camp, with some superstar help in the mix.
Dennis Dodd of CBS reported Wednesday that the surperior quarterback camp will take place on June 20 and will be open to 300 registrants.
It will even have a Harbaugh-worthy name: Ann Arbor’s Aerial Assault, aka “A4.”
Camp attendees will reportedly include former Michigan QB’s Denard Robinson, Elvis Grbac and John Navarre. Chicago Bears starter Jay Cutler and SoCal-based quarterbacks’ coach George Whitfield, among others, are expected to be there as well.
But the two biggest names at this QB extravaganza: This year’s No.1 overall draft choice Jameis Winston and–drumroll, please–Niners starting quarterback and Harbaugh’s former go-to guy, Colin Kaepernick.
This camp is already a pair of khakis away from being a Harbaugh-themed Woodstock.
Michigan is expected to make a formal release to the media regarding the camp some time next week, CBS said.
