LSU Safety Upset With Florida’s ‘DB U’ Claim

One of the biggest rivalries in the SEC just got even hotter as Florida University made claims to being “Defensive Back University”, meaning that they are the best school to put defensive backs into the NFL. The team’s hype video was released in response to the heated debate between LSU and Texas earlier this Spring.

According to College Spun, LSU safety Jamal Adams took offense to the claim. The sophomore took to Twitter with his griefs.

Lol, just because yall got a little video, don't make you DBU. Just saying.

It did not take long for a few Gators to strike back.

Both LSU and Florida each had eight defensive backs in the NFL. LSU boasts names like Eric Reid, Tyrann Mathieu, Patrick Peterson, and Morris Claiborne, while Florida has names such as Matt Elam, Joe Haden, Will Hill, and Reggie Nelson. LSU also had Jalen Collins drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the draft this year.

Both teams have tons of NFL talent in the defensive backfield, but there is really only one way to judge who has the best defensive backs. One thing is for sure. I can’t wait until September.
