Pat Connaughton trolls scouts at NBA Combine

Cheers to NBA hopeful Pat Connaughton for knowing how to have a little fun during the Combine.

The 6-foot-5 guard has not only had a good showing in performance drills, but also had surperior timing in having a bit of fun on social media with the NBA bigs.

During his recent stay in Chicago for the pre-Draft skills’ showcase, the Notre Dame product made the rounds talking to team execs and scouts. Connaughton then told South Bend Tribune reporter Tom Noie that the term “deceptively athletic” was used ad nauseum to describe his level of play.

So after putting up big numbers in the performance showcase, Connaughton had a bit of fun with a tongue-and-cheek chirp  about his “deceptive athleticism.”

Looks like he is already warming up for some lively NBA post-game pressers. TV stations had better be ready.
