Kevin Reihner officially joins Penn State

It has been in the works for a few months, but on Monday former Stanford Cardinal offensive lineman Kevin Reihner officially joined the Penn State Nittany Lions football program.

The news was announced in a press release.

“We are excited to have Kevin join our family,” head coach James Franklin said in the statement. “He comes to us with great experience at the collegiate level and has the opportunity to make an immediate impact for us. It’s awesome that Kevin can return home to Pennsylvania to close out his college career.”

Because Reihner will be a graduate transfer, he will be eligible to play for the Nittany Lions immediately.

Reihner joins fullback Patrick Skov, defensive back Wayne Lyons, tight end Charlie Hopkins and running back Kelsey Young as graduate transfers who have left the Cardinal in recent months.
