Ohio State’s National Championship Wall Updated

It seems like yesterday that the Ohio State Buckeyes shocked the college football world and won the first ever College Football Playoff after beating Alabama and Oregon. The team has now updated their national championship wall inside their facility to honor their most recent title.

The Buckeyes updated the wall inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Complex, or WHAC. The 2014 championship joins seven other national championship trophies on the wall inside the WHAC.

Ohio State’s first National Championship came under legendary coach Paul Brown in 1942. The next five were won under the coach that their fieldhouse is named for, Woody Hayes.

In 2002, the Buckeyes won their first and only BCS National Championship under Jim Tressel after defeating Miami in the Fiesta Bowl. The 2014 championship came under third year head coach Urban Meyer and with third string quarterback Cardale Jones.
