St. Bonaventure Lands High-Scoring Guard

If you ask the casual college basketball fan who Matt Mobley is, he probably would not be able to answer it. But if you even speak that name in New Britain, Connecticut, people immediately start praising the guy.

Now, fans of St. Bonaventure will be doing the exact same thing in the coming seasons. According to College Basketball Talk, Mobley announced his transfer from Central Connecticut State to the Atlantic 10 school via Twitter.

Mobley averaged 17.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game last season and will have to make the transition from the North East Conference after sitting out the 2015-2016 season. His forty percent three-point shooting will certainly make the transition into the Bonnies’ starting rotation easier.

St. Bonaventure hopes that Mobley’s skills will help them get back to the NCAA Tournament, where they have not been since 2012, after losing in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament to eventual champion Dayton. The mid-majors are always entertaining to watch come March. This one just got a whole lot better.
