Those who like tuning into ABC’s primetime college football games will be in for a treat on September 12. That Saturday evening, the second weekend of the season, the network will broadcast the game between the Big Ten’s Michigan State Spartans and Pac-12’s Oregon Ducks. A tweet from MSU’s page for Spartan football made the announcement.

The game will take place at Spartan Stadium and be Michigan State’s home opener. Needless to say, fans should be excited for what is sure to be an incredible matchup.
The Spartans are coming off a season in which they went 11-2 (7-1 Big Ten), the team’s eighth under coach Mark Dantonio. Michigan State ended up beating Baylor in the Cotton Bowl and also lost to Oregon on September 6 of last year after a Marcus Mariota-led rally.
This means that the Spartans will be out for revenge on Oregon, who went 13-2 (8-1 Pac-12) last season before losing to Ohio State in the College Football Playoff Championship Game. It could be an uphill climb for the Ducks, who will be without Mariota as he is now part of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
Either way, this is not a game to be missed, so mark your calendars accordingly!
