Computer projects Eastern Michigan as worst FBS team

Sorry, Eastern Michigan fans.

According to computer projections from college football analyst Brian Fremeau, the Eagles will be the worst program at the FBS level this upcoming season.

In his his Fremeau Efficiency Index ratings, Easter Michigan is ranked 128 out of 128 teams, while the Kansas Jayhawks get the honor of being runner-up for the worst team.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes top the list at No. 1 and Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide came in at No. 2 on the list.

How does Fremeau get his ratings?

To sum it up quickly, the Kansas City Star says the system is “opponent-adjusted drive efficiency, when accounting for an approximate 20,000 possessions in FBS vs. FBS games each year.”
