Big 12 schools to face penalties for storming court

-

The Big 12 Conference is looking to eliminate court storming from college basketball.

This week, the conference announced that schools who are unable to prevent their students from rushing onto the court after a game will be punished by Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby.

What will the penalties be? Bowlsby was very vague in his response.

“I don’t know that there’s anything off the table in dealing with those issues,” Bowlsby told the AP following spring meetings in Irving, Texas. “I think I’ve been given broad prerogatives to deal with those issues.”

There are varying opinions on whether the NCAA should step in to prevent court storming or whether we should all just take a step back and except the fact that kids will be kids and it is okay to get excited about a big win that makes you swell with school pride.

To me, it’s a non-issue. Good luck stopping those overly excited students from making their way onto the court.
