SEC schools receive record $31.2 million payout

The Southeastern Conference continues to rake in the money.

On Friday, it was announced that the SEC earned an NCAA-record $455.8 million in revenues. As a result, the conference is set to distribute a record $31.2 million payout to each of the 14 universities.

Last year, each school earned $20.9 million.

The SEC revenue was generated from the “SEC Network, televised football, bowl games, the SEC football championship, televised basketball, the SEC men’s basketball tournament, NCAA championships and a supplemental surplus distribution” per ESPN.

It is an enormous payout for each university and a drastically larger amount than the other Power Five schools and smaller conferences around the nation.
