Just two one-seeds went down on the first day of NCAA Tournament action on Friday.
Dallas Baptist was one, and UC Santa Barbara was the other, but the way UCSB went down was unique to say the least.
Tied 3-3 in the 8th, San Diego State’s Steven Pallares stood on third with two out.
Then this happened.

Pallares did it all for SDSU on Friday, going 3-for-3 with a homer, three runs scored, and three stolen bases including that beauty.
The Aztecs move on to the 1-0 game against 3-seed Virginia, while UCSB moves to the elimination game against USC on Saturday.
Not a better way to pull off a major upset than stealing home in my opinion.
Just to add to this, the San Diego Padres had a runner on third in a tie game in the ninth, and the official SDSU twitter tweeted this:
Hey @Padres, steal home. Worked for us.

The Padres opted for a walk-off grand slam by Derek Norris. Pretty good night of hardball in San Diego.
