Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Randy Ramsey has been away from the team since being suspended for the final portion of spring practice because of academic issues.
It wasn’t the first time that Ramsey has run into issues with his grades, but it may be the last at Arkansas.
According to Razorbacks head coach Bret Bielema, Ramsey is currently dealing with his academics and Bielema does not believe that he will be returning anytime soon.
“Randy Ramsey is not with us right now and I don’t think he’ll be with us,” Bielema said according to arkansasonline.com. “There are certain things that happened to him that took it out of my hands, actually.
“It’s NCAA and University of Arkansas guidelines that you have to pass a certain number of hours to get where you need to be, and obviously he didn’t make that.”
As a true freshman, Ramsey played in seven games.
Unfortunately, his inabiltiy to keep his grades above the required standard will force him to take a minor detail in his career until he can get that squared away.
