Retired OT Rod Johnson vows to get a second opinion

Retired Florida Gators offensive tackle Rod Johnson was forced to quit football because of a congenital spinal condition. Johnson got emotional over the news and now he is vowing to fight his way back to the field.

Johnson took to Twitter to say that he has not completely given up on his playing career and he plans to continue getting medical opinions until he is cleared.

You have to appreciate Johnson not giving up on his dream.

However, if doctors continue to tell him he needs to step away from the game, he will have to accept that reality as difficult as it may be. Regardless of what happens, let’s all hope that Johnson finds a way to stay involved in the game that he loves.
