Josh Lanasa finds home with Nebraska Cornhuskers

Eden Prairie, Minnesota native Josh Lanasa announced via Twitter that he will join the Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball program as a preferred walk-on.

The 6-foot-6 Lanasa recently graduated from Edem Prairie High School, but was yet to find a home with any of the nation’s premier universities.  Finally, after months of hard work, Lanasa made it official that he will continue his playing career as a Cornhusker.

Below is the tweet released by Lanasa’s personal account:

According to MaxPreps.com, Lanasa was ranked seventh in the state of Minnesota, but failed to wow potential suitors with his lack of ideal size and athleticism.  Nonetheless, he was given the chance by Nebraska and will hope to prove the doubters wrong.
