Former Penn State LB LaVar Arrington to Name Daughter after Alma Mater

Two-Time First-Team All-American. Two-Time First-Team All-Big Ten.

Winner of the Butkus Award, Bednarik Award, and the Lambert Award; LaVar Arrington had an incredible career at Penn State as a linebacker in the late 1990s. Fifteen years later, the number 2 overall pick of the 2000 NFL Draft, Arrington has not forgotten his Alma Mater.

Currently the father to three children: LaVar, Laila, and Marlee.

However, he and his wife Trishia are expecting their fourth child. Arrington and his wife have already named their future daughter after the school, as Penn will be joining the family in the next few months.

Despite the number of obstacles Arrington and his family have overcome over the last fifteen years, the Penn State remains (and will continue to be) a prominent part of their lives.
