Whether you like it or not, the Dad Bod phenomenon isn’t dying out any time soon. In fact, Dad Bods are receiving recognition and being celebrated in unexpected places.
For example, Dad Bods will be both recognized and celebrated this upcoming weekend on the Palmetto Breeze cruise ship.
Here’s a little about the ship itself: “Palmetto Breeze combines both comfort and speed! She was built in Charleston, SC, and is the ultimate sailing catamaran. This cat is a great vessel for birthdays, weddings, corporate outings, school eco tours, and most any celebratory event” (Aqua Safaris Inc).”
While this information suggests the Palmetto Breeze is no stranger to celebrations, this is the first time it will be celebrating Dad Bods in the low country.
And if you’re in the low country, my bet is that you’ve heard about this event since Mix 96, better known as Two Guys and a Girl radio station, has been promoting the event nonstop.
But just in case you haven’t, Mix 96 explains: “The 2GG Dad Bod Cruise is Sunday, June 14th! We sail the Charleston harbor in style on the legendary Palmetto Breeze, complete with free food and BEER from Red’s Ice House! Win your boarding passes every day just after 7,11, 1 and 3!”
And for those of you rockin’ that Dad Bod, this is an event you won’t want to miss, because as Mix 96 further explains: “Each of our Dad Bods are entered to win this week’s GRAND PRIZE from Atlantic Records: A Dad-cation to the land of brew and legalized .. umm .. loud music! We’ll fly Dad and his best bud to Colorado to see South Carolina’s NeedToBreathe in concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater!”
With Father’s Day fast approaching, this event seems especially appropriate in celebrating the body types that emulate those of the men who are more concerned with being a good father, than they are with working out.
