Ohio State fan names newborn son ‘Urban’

When you are coming off of an impressive season that ended with a national championship, a lot of people are going to do everything they can to keep that moment in their memory bank. That is the case for Ohio State Buckeyes fans, following their team’s win in the inaugural College Football Playoff.

Enter Cassie Lightle.

Cassie is such a big Buckeyes fan, who is originally from Ohio but now lives in Louisiana.

In order to remember her Ohio roots, Cassie and her significant other decided to name their son after Ohio State’s coach, Urban Meyer. So, this week, the couple introduced the world to Urban Rey Cully May.

Baby Urban’s father was even decked out in an Ohio State sweatshirt and championship hat for one of his first photos with his son.

Urban Meyer’s wife, Shelley, caught wind of the news and congratulated the couple while appreciating the gesture.

@spinnershells we sure did. I wanted a unique name and @Ryannwith2nz and I agreed Urban was a perfect name to keep his Buckeye roots!!
