Top senior prospects for the 2016 NFL Draft

The college football season will be here before we know it and players will be looking to establish themselves as the best players in the nation. Luckily for some players, getting their name out in the public eye will not be as hard as it is for others.

Entering the season, there are always watchlists and your preseason All-American lists that give you an idea of who to watch.

For NFL teams, there are the rankings in each class that allow scouts to know who they should be keeping a close eye on. Most of that attention during the early part of the season will be on seniors, who will not have the opportunity to return to school in order to boost their stock.

Thanks to the CFB 24/7 “15 for ’15” series on NFL.com, we have an idea of the early senior standouts.

Who are the top players to keep an eye on?

As you would expect, Michigan State Spartans quarterback Connor Cook and Baylor Bears defensive lineman Shawn Oakman are among the top-rated senior prospects.

Other names to watch are Georgia outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins and Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker.
