It is never too early to being recruiting. In fact, targeting middle schoolers is becoming the norm it seems. Following his workouts at the Florida State football camp, eighth grader Tru Thompson received his first offer to play Division 1 football.
The 6-foot, 300-pound lineman will likely still shoot up a few inches, meaning he is on track to hold D-1 worthy size.

Florida St. sees the potential for the young player who has yet to play a down of high school football.
However, he has a long way to go before he matches Class of 19 linebacker Anthony Solomon who already has 11 offers ranging from Alabama and Auburn to Florida State and Miami.
