The departure of Billy Donovan to the Oklahoma City Thunder left new coach Mike White with little time to put together the new pieces for his team. While many recruits have already committed, White has now landed his first for the Gators.
Justin Leon, a 6-foot-8 JuCo forward from Shawnee Community College, originally signed with Louisiana Tech. Following Florida’s hire of White, the three-star recruit flipped to Florida.
With interest from over ten schools, Florida was the only one to offer a scholarship.
Leon took to Twitter to inform Gator Nation that he was on his way to Gainesville.
After reviewing my options I have decided to go to Gainesville Florida and join the Gators🏀🐊.

Leon will be joining three other recruits for the upcoming season as the Gators look to rebound from a down season where they finished 16-17.
