Kentucky Wildcat fans have a lot to be excited about for the 2015 college football season. After third-year coach Mark Stoops turned the program around and just missed going to 6-6 last season, the team is excited to continue improving.

To go along with their increased success, they now have new turf at their stadium for the 2015 season.

Kentucky’s football stadium, which is now being dubbed “The New CWS”, has been going under renovations for the upcoming season. As part of those renovations, new turf was installed and it looks pretty awesome. Kentucky Athletics shared a picture of the new field on Twitter.

The Wildcats football program has never been on par with the illustrious basketball program, but they hope that this new exciting stadium will turn things around for them in the future. Stoops, who is entering his third year as a head coach, has brought some success to Lexington, but he hopes to bring much more in the coming seasons.

The Wildcats have not been to a bowl game since 2010 when they lost the BBVA Compass Bowl. This field may be exactly what they needed to turn things around for the better.
