The Georgia Bulldogs got some bad news for the state of their offensive line’s future. A four-star offensive tackle DeVondre Seymour has unexpectedly and inexplicably decided to quit football and will not play for the team this upcoming fall.
According to College Spun, the incoming freshman told head coach Mark Richt that he didn’t want to play the game anymore. Fox 5 Sports and Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald both reported the news via Twitter.

Seymour was the sixth-ranked offensive tackle in the country when he committed to Georgia. The young man made a tough decision, but in the end it was the right one. If you don’t have the heart or the want-to to play the game anymore, then don’t.
Seymour should feel very proud of making a mature decision like he did. Had he stayed on the team, it could have hurt them more than losing him would. Good luck to Seymour in your future endeavors.
