Herschel Walker interested in one more MMA fight

Former NFL and Georgia Bulldogs star Herschel Walker had a brief career in professional mixed martial arts during the days of Strikeforce. Walker fought two times and secured two TKO victories.

However, Walker has not entered the cage since Jan. 29 of 2011.

That doesn’t mean that Walker is not interested in fighting again despite a four-year layoff though, because he recently said that he would be interested in one more fight.

The 53-year-old made his comments following Bellator 138 while speaking with Luke Thomas of SB Nation.

I’d still fight because I still train,” Walker said. “I’d step back in the cage and fight a little bit.”

Walker then went on to discuss the difference between competing in the NFL and mixed martial arts.

“Even though I love football and it has given me a good life, this is mano a mano,” he said. “Here you step into that cage and you better not make a mistake. You do one wrong thing and you may be laying out on that canvas.”
