With Williams leaving, Syracuses line is looking pretty weak. They recently loss Eric Crume, Micah Robinson and Robert Welsh which all graduated from the defensive line, but Isaiah Johnson, Marcus Coleman and Ryan Sloan are no longer part of the team because of injury or transfer.
Before coming to Syracuse Williams was anticipated to be great, unfortunately after struggling with weight loss and only nine tackles last season he didn’t live up to his potential.
There may be some hope from Syracuse, head coach Scott Shafer has praised the preseason play of redshirt freshmen Samuels and Chris Slayton according to the Daily Orange.
Williams is looking to transfer but with his resume it doesn’t look like any football programs will be beating down his door.
