My heart sank upon hearing the news that Rasheed Suliamon had been dismissed from Duke in January. My heart sank even lower when I heard he had landed at Maryland, former ACC rival to the Blue Devils.
On Thursday, just hours before the 2015 NFL Draft, Suliamon wished his former teammates good luck as they await their professional fate.
According to College Spun, Suliamon shouted out to his “brothers” on Twitter. Along with Jahlil Okafor, Quinn Cook, and Tyus Jones, Suliamon also wished good luck to Kansas player Kelly Oubre Jr and Chinese superstar Emmanuel Mudiay.

Suliamon and the Blue Devils was just months away from the NCAA Tournament, where Duke won its fifth national title. His dismissal was due to not living up to “the standards required to be a member of the program” as per Mike Krzyzewski.
He may not have won a national championship with the Blue Devils, but Suliamon still has built a bond with his former teammates that he will never lose. Maybe he will join his brothers in next year’s draft.
