“I am thrilled to sign this extension and I know that I will continue to lead the program in the future,” Rhule said in a statement. “I’m proud of our student athletes and all they do and I look forward to continuing to lead and teach them for years to come. Temple has been my family’s home since 2006, and I am honored to be able to serve the university as its football coach.”
The Owls are expected to be much improved this season after a 6-6 year, including a 4-4 record in the American Athletic Conference.
Temple was 2-10 in 2013 so improvement has been seen so far from Rhule.
