The 2015 NBA Draft wrapped up late last night and it was another successful night for the Duke Blue Devils. Coach Mike Krzyzewski now has thirty-one of his former players drafted in the first round after Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow and Tyus Jones were all drafted by the 76ers, Heat and Cavaliers respectively.
Duke basketball shared a graphic which showcases the thirty-one players that have been drafted in the first round under Coach K.
Of those thirty-one first round draft picks, two have gone number one overall in the draft. Elton Brand was selected number one by the Chicago Bulls in 1999 and Kyrie Irving was selected first by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011.
Not only does Coach K have success with players being drafted in the first round, he also has five national championships to go along with it. The basketball season is just months away and I can’t wait to see who the next Duke first round pick will be.
