USC lands four-star TE Cary Angeline

Class of 2016 four-star tight end recruit Cary Angeline, out of Downingtown East High School in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, has committed to the USC Trojans.

Angeline made the announcement on his personal Twitter page.

Of great size at 6-foot-7, 230 pounds, Angeline had also drawn interest from a great number of schools including Alabama, Boston College, Auburn, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State, among others. He is the 12th commitment of the Trojans’ 2016 recruiting class and his size will make USC’s offense a force to be reckoned with in the Pac-12.

USC went 9-4 (6-3 Pac-12) in its first season under Steve Sarkisian and defeated Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl.

The Trojans open 2015 at home against the Sun Belt’s Arkansas State Red Wolves on September 5.
