One of the most intriguing stories in the 2015 NFL Draft last season was former LSU offensive tackle La’El Collins. He was projected as high as a mid-first round pick this season, but days before the Draft an ex-girlfriend of Collins was murdered, which forced him to leave Chicago and go back to his home state of Louisiana for questioning.
This in turn made Collins go from a potential first round pick to an undrafted free agent.
Once his name was cleared, almost every team was chomping at the bit to sign the big guy. The Dallas Cowboys were lucky enough to sign the Baton Rouge native and he showed off his speed and exactly why he was so sought after following the Draft.
SportsNation shared a video of Collins matching up against another teammate to run a route. He not only burns the other guy, but he makes a beautiful catch that an offensive lineman is not supposed to make.
Maybe Jason Garrett needs to feed the big guy a bone this season.
