Incoming LSU DE cleared for 2015 season

The LSU Tigers received some good news in regards to an incoming defensive end this season on Friday night. An eligibility problem for one of the Tigers’ biggest commits for the 2015 class has been cleared and he will be able to attend training camp in August.

According to College Football Talk, Arden Key was facing some eligibility problems for summer classes.

The NCAA had originally ruled him ineligible for summer classes, which seemed like it could produce some problems for his eligibility in the fall. Things seem to be a go for the Atlanta, Georgia native and he will be able to go to the Tigers’ camp that starts on August 6.

Key, a four-star defensive end, was ranked as the thirteenth defensive end in the country and twenty-third in the state of Georgia.

Having him on the field will certainly allow the Tigers to get back into contention for the SEC West crown. LSU allowed just over 150 rushing yards per game last season.
