The Alabama Crimson Tide just seems to have all the luck when it comes to getting great players, even if it is just a kicker. Eddy Pineiro is the number one kicker in the country for the class of 2016 and he proved it by kicking what I can say is easily the longest field goal I have ever seen.
College Spun shared the video of Pineiro crushing a personal-best 73-yard field goal.
You have to see this to believe it.
Broke my personal best record with a 73 yarder today! 🏈✊ pic.twitter.com/qmE5IVBNbW

I am friends with a lot of people who were kickers in their high school days and they will tell you that kicking without pads on is much easier than in-game scenarios. It is also a lot easier without having eleven guys trying to rush through and block the kick.
Whatever the case may be, you still have to be a damn strong kid to push the football through the uprights from that far out. It is not surprising that this kid is going to kick for Alabama next season. Pineiro is currently attending ASA College, a junior college in Miami, and comes from a soccer background.
He will certainly be a huge help to the defending SEC Champions in 2016. Let’s just hope that he doesn’t turn to be another dud like the guy who missed a chip shot that cost them the game against LSU in 2011. Better yet, go ahead kid. Miss those field goals when you play the Tigers, I won’t mind.
