Former Michigan State tight end Mitch Lyons has served on the MSU Board of Trustees since 2011. After University of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh’s rather uncomfortable interview with ESPN’s Colin Cowherd was cut short on Wednesday, Lyons took to Twitter to take a not-so-subtle shot at Harbaugh.
As you can imagine, this didn’t sit well with some of the Wolverine faithful. Take a look at the offending tweet and some of the responses.
By trolling Harbaugh, Lyons has definitely poured some more fuel on the rivalry fire that already burns red hot in the state that’s referred to as “the Sportsman’s Paradise.” And this is only July 1st! You can be sure UM fans will remember this when the Spartans visit the Big House in Ann Arbor on October 17th.
