Cal loses two class of 2015 recruits to decommitment

The University of Cal Golden Bears took a big blow on Wednesday when the basketball team lost two of their recruits for the 2015 season. The team now looks much different for the upcoming season, but the team still feels like they will be prepared for the season.

According to College Basketball Talk, Davon Dillard and Tyson Jolly will both be attending different schools for the 2015 season. Dillard made his decision once Roman Davis, a three-star forward, committed to playing for the Golden Bears, while Jolly feels like he can grow a little more before moving on to the Pac-12

Dillard will now be playing for Oklahoma State next season, while Jolly will be attending prep school for one season. The latter is still committed to Cal for the 2016 season according to Rivals.

Losing these two will be a tough pill to swallow for the Golden Bears, but it won’t ruin their season.

The team still has two top-ten recruits in Ivan Raab and Jaylen Brown. The team also has Jabari Bird, Jordan Matthews, and Ty Wallace returning from last season and that is enough to give this team a preseason top 25 ranking as well as what they need to compete in the Pac-12.

The Bears have missed the last two NCAA tournaments and have not won the Pac-12 regular season championship since the 2010 season.
