Photos: Big Ten uniform colors mashed with rivals

The madness of swapping team colors with their biggest rivals continues as Reddit user eharvey328 is certainly getting his name mentioned a lot around the world of college football now. He has moved into the Midwest and taken on the task of pissing off the Big Ten schools.

Imgur again has the original slideshow of uniforms, but we have it for you below! There are again some very interesting color scheme swaps.

The good? Northwestern as Illinois. I am usually fond of purple being used in football uniforms, because it is usually seen as a girly color. Teams that can pull it off are usually pretty intimidating. That isn’t the case with the Wildcats. This team needs an absolute face lift and it should start with their bland colors. Putting the Illini’s blue and orange onto their jerseys really helps and could actually be a feasible color scheme for the Wildcats.

The bad? Michigan as Ohio State. I actually loved the color swap for the Buckeyes, but I can’t say the same for the Wolverines. You just don’t mess with the “Maize and Blue.” I find it funny that Ohio State’s colors are scarlet and silver, and yet there is not one ounce of silver on Michigan’s uniform. I’d say this one was a fail.

The ugly? Wisconsin as Minnesota. When I say ugly, I mean downright UGLY. I really like Minnesota’s uniform colors, but for some reason they look awful against the design of Wisconsin’s jersey. Maybe it’s the fact that Wisconsin wear Adidas and Minnesota wears Nike. I don’t know, but I never want to see those uniforms again. Yuck.

I was surprised to see Rutgers’ colors swapped with Penn State. Did anyone else here really know that those two were rivals? I don’t know. Maybe this guy just felt bad for the Nittany Lions since they have no true rivals.
