Five-star small forward Miles Bridges, out of West Virginia’s Huntington Prep, has planned official visits to Michigan State University and the University of Kentucky. Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal reported Bridges’ plans.

Blessed with great size for his position at 6-foot-7, 225 pounds, Bridges has also drawn interest from Michigan, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, UNC and N.C. State. However, as anyone who follows the recruiting trail knows, a prospect making an official visit to a school is a tremendous indicator as to where they want to end up playing.
Both programs could end up being ideal for Bridges. He has a solid three-point shot and drives the lane well, which makes him a good fit in the dribble-drive offense of Kentucky head coach John Calipari.
But Bridges is also an explosive player who plays a strong game under the basket, with the tenacity of someone much bigger than he actually is. Thus, what with smaller players like Branden Dawson playing a similar game under Spartans head coach Tom Izzo and subsequently getting drafted into the NBA, perhaps Bridges has every chance of succeeding in East Lansing as he does in Lexington.
Granted, Bridges has yet to make an official decision and hasn’t even made these official visits yet, but Campus Sports will update his story as more information becomes available.
