It seems that former Kentucky Wildcat Aaron Harrison will be on an NBA roster next season despite not being drafted, and nobody seems prouder than Kentucky head coach John Calipari.
The Hall of Famer took to Twitter to congratulate his former player, the only one of seven Kentucky entrants in this year’s draft to not be selected.
How bout @AaronICE2 making Charlotte?! He will be in that league for a long time. Last season just officially ended!!!

There’s no doubt that Harrison deserves his shot. He is a strongly built 2-guard at 6-foot-6, 209 pounds and averaged 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists over 29 minutes per contest in five NBA Summer League games. He’s still a raw prospect, having shot just 42 percent from the field, but is still a hard worker and developed a reputation in college for being able to make clutch shots.
Given how the Hornets have a glaring hole at shooting guard, don’t be surprised if Harrison ends up seeing extended minutes there at some point during the regular season.
